Reduce Anxiety and Overcome Extreme Fatigue

If you have been diagnosed with anxiety issues and you’ve been feeling tired all the time, you should know there’s a connection between both phenomena. Having anxiety is likely to make you go through negative thoughts and emotions consistently, and that is likely to deprive you of your vital energy, thus leading to extreme fatigue. You may feel like you’re too tired to even think straight, let alone change your life around- if that’s the case, you should know there are several fundamental, yet extremely simple techniques you can start using to find quick relief from your troubles.

First and to begin with, you must be willing to cut out stimulants from your diet, such as sugar and coffee. It may sound contradictory at first, but just think about it: you’re probably drinking more coffee than ever before, to ward off your fatigue- and still your energy levels are probably lower than ever before. That’s not really working as expected, eh? There’s actually a simple explanation: you see, drinking caffeinated drinks and ingesting too much sugar may seem to make you more alert, but that’s only a temporary effect; just as soon as the buzz wears off, you will actually start getting increasingly more anxious- which in turn will only reinforce your sense of extreme fatigue.

Second, and also quite important: you have to get more exercise. Yes, it may also seem contradictory, and you’re probably too fatigued to get out jogging anytime soon. However, that only means you have to pace yourself and make a gradual transition. Start by taking some walks on a regular basis, doing some basic exercises in the comfort of your own home, and try to push yourself a little bit further every day. You will find that getting increased physical activity will curb your anxiety and help you overcome the extreme fatigue you’ve been feeling. The more exercise you get, the more energized you will feel- just try it! You have nothing to lose except your anxiety and weariness.

Thirdly, you have to find ways to fight off your negative feelings and emotions and replace them with a brighter outlook on life. This is something you can achieve by seeking activities that will award with you a sense of enjoyment and fulfillment: try getting new hobbies, meeting new people, doing relaxing group activities such as yoga and meditation. You will be surprised with how effective these kinds of techniques can be, in managing anxiety and making the extreme fatigue you’ve been feeling a thing of the past.
